A cochlear implant is an electronic device
designed to help severely to profoundly deaf individuals who
gain little or no benefit from hearing aids. It consists of
two main parts: an internal implanted part called the implant,
and an external part known as the speech processor.
The speech processor can be worn discreetly behind
the ear.
I was implanted with the Med-El
Combi 40+ and wear a Tempo + BTE processor.
